Pokémon GB Kaddo is the best Pokémon game yet. Instead of a team of 6 Pokémon you have a deck of 60 Pokémon cards giving a lot more variety in strategy. There are 226 cards (I know I have the game) in total, most of them you'll seldom use because they are so bad. The game is set up similar to red and blue you start of with no cards and after you win your first battle the theme decks are available. After you pick one your task becomes to collect all 226 cards, the first 200 or so are fairly easy to find but after that you'll be play for hours to find just one new card. As you search for cards you have to face you rival (Japanese name Rando) on several occasions. If you beat him he will give you one rare card. A major task is to challenge the 8 gym leaders. Each is a master of one type of energy and has several trainers you have to beat before you can even face him. Sometime these trainers aren't even in the gym but in another gym somewhere else. After you beat all eight you can now face the final 4 the bosses of the game. The Cards play just like the card game and actually come from the first 3 series Original, Jungle and Fossil. You can carry up to 5 different decks at a time. Its not just cards from the 3 series but there are also several GB only cards, which seem to be the best cards. With the exception of regular energy you can carry no more than 4 of each card. With the game comes one of the GB only card. A Rare-Holo Kairiyuu that’s done wonders for me in my Japanese deck. |
